Hot Chocolate

End of Summer, after a beautiful Autumn storm yesterday, the wind has changed and is blowing right off the mountains. Normally a sign that snow is falling in the New England Tablelands. It’s cold, we’re lighting the wood fire, changing the doona on the bed from cotton to wool, making hot chocolate when the afternoon sun starts to drop behind the trees and prepping a big pot of hearty soup.
And making sure the shed is closed!!! (“You Know It’s Getting Colder When…”)
The days are beautiful, when the sun is out, but the nights drop under the 10 degrees.
