My mornings in music
How I would like my morning to look like,
Waking up by the sunlight coming through the blinds, the sounds of chattering birds in the trees. Rested. Getting ready for the day ahead, maybe even a walk or some yoga. Peaceful and organised.
It would come with this sound track:
But some mornings you just can't get there. This morning it was one of those. We left the house at 8:55 after another broken night. Three school uniforms in the washing basket that didn't even make it through the morning, a house covered in muddy foot prints and layer of sweat from finding that blasted school hat, that I surely put in his school bag yesterday evening.
To stay with Grieg's Peer Gynt, this morning sounded more like this:
Well, there is always tomorrow.
