I'm all for keeping things simple. But I also have a healthy distrust of mass produced baby food.
Cooking all these baby portions can be very time consuming. Brown rice takes about 35min. to cook.
But...
Adding a little boiling water to puffed brown rice makes it dissolve/soften instantly.
Now add a couple of spoons of fruit or apple sauce, that days veggies (mashed) or leftover soup and you've got a meal ready.
Our local health food store also sells puffed quinoa and puffed amaranth for more variation. You could make your own if you're interested, just like popcorn.
Tim & Sophie also have become big fans, sprinkled over yoghurt with a spoon of applesauce for a quick afternoon snack.
