Rain

A lot of rain over the long weekend, it hasn’t kept us from going outside.

Sophie would disappear every now and then, you would always find her stomping around in one of the many puddles with the giggles. We would have to light the wood fire in the evenings just to get all shoes (boots, slippers, gumboots,...) dry again for the next day.

On Tuesday morning we had a real downpour, it was only 15min but together with the howling wind that seemed to come from all around it was like being in a mini tornado. A lot of roads and highways were closed after that because of flash flooding. The river is high, but we’re no longer on Flood Watch.

A bit South of us roads are still mostly closed, they have started evacuating there.
