Heatwave

We’re experiencing a heatwave at the moment.
I can see 40 degrees on the thermometer, tomorrow is predicted to be the same.
Tim had cricket training this morning, he lasted about 30 minutes and called it quits.  Standing with three kids in the full sun, getting roasted on the sideline, I can’t say I pushed very hard to make him finish the hour...
There is this pair of King Parrots taking shelter on the deck, they looked distressed from the heat.
We gave them a bowl of water, hoping it would help them cope. Three hours later, they’re still sitting right next to it.

I’m very much looking forward to a nice soaking thunderstorm to give some relief...
