And when it rains, it pours....

This is the rain forecast for the next couple of days:

Rushforth rainfall forecast issued today at: 9:37am / Next forecast today around: 7:37pm

A week ago we were on a Fire Alert with total Fire Ban for the whole of NSW while the temperatures were above 40 degrees and the wind hot and dry. Heaps of bush fires all through the state, with many houses lost.

Well,... this week will likely be another extreme, we're on Flood Watch...
The leftover of the now ex- tropical cyclone is heading our way and will bring torrential rain with flash flooding.
Sander is outside building a dam on the drive way, with extreme rain the drain doesn't cope and the water will rush under the house, not ideal. We're also building a dam, a moat and upping the veggie beds so the plants won't start floating along.

It's the flash flooding that worries me, baby is now two days overdue and although our car will cope with some rain and puddles, it can't swim us to the hospital...

We love Australia, never boring, let's be patriotic and have our first Aussie* baby on Australia Day tomorrow...

*(Although Tim and Sophie were both born in Australia, we didn't had permanent residency at the time of their birth, so like us, they only have a Dutch passport)
