Spiders

Recent downpours increased insect activity. The mozzies are big and viscous, the spiders are growing fat and the webs are huge. It’s the early mornings that you realise that we’re slowly getting covered in silk. Albeit a bit scary, also ridiculously pretty. The different patterns and even colours woven into the webs. There is no better “time waster” then watching a spider build it’s web.
Most of the spiders are harmless, utilising their sticky silk to catch their prey. 
It’s the ones in holes that keep me wary...
This fella is a young and small (!) huntsman. Another gentle giant, unless you’re a fly... 
I found this little thing below on Facebook it sure cracked me up. Spot on!
Now back to my ironing...
